Copper Peptides
Bullsh*t or not?
Let’s find out. We’re checking every claim, one by one.
To save you time, we’ve added screenshots of the most important study results.
You’ll find all sources at the bottom of this article.
They call it "Botox for your hair" — and here’s why:
✅ Physically enlarges hair follicles (reversing miniaturization)
✅ Stimulates new blood vessel formation (Angiogenesis)
✅ Extends the active growth phase (Anagen)
Sounds good — but does it actually work?
What do Copper Peptides really do for your hair?
It’s not just a nutrient; it’s a signaling molecule. GHK-Cu tells your body to switch into "repair mode."
On your scalp, this means:
✔ Increases Follicle Size
Androgenetic Alopecia shrinks follicles until they disappear. Copper Peptides help reverse this process, making the follicle physically larger again.
✔ Boosts Blood Flow (Angiogenesis)
It promotes the formation of new blood capillaries. More blood = more oxygen and nutrients for the hair root. (Pickart et al., 2008)
✔ Prolongs the Growth Phase
It prevents the hair from entering the shedding phase (Telogen) too early, leading to thicker overall coverage.
What does the science say?
📌 2007 – The Elongation Study
A pivotal study published in the Archives of Pharmacal Research (Pyo et al.) tested the effects of Copper Peptides (GHK-Cu) on human hair follicles.
The result: The follicles treated with Copper Peptides grew significantly longer than the control group.

📌 2023 – High Efficiency, Low Risk
While Minoxidil and Finasteride are effective, they often come with unwanted side effects.
A recent review (Liu et al., 2023) highlighted that Copper Peptides (GHK-Cu) are a powerful hair growth promoter with minimal side effects when compared to these traditional chemical treatments.

How should you actually use it?
Taking copper supplements? Careful.
Ingesting too much copper can be toxic. The magic happens when you apply it topically.
What does work?
👉 Leave-in Serums:
Peptides need time to signal the cells. A shampoo that you wash off in 30 seconds won't cut it.
👉 Don't mix with direct acids:
If you use strong acids (like salicylic acid) on your scalp, use them at a different time. Acids can break down the peptide bonds, rendering them useless.
Verdict: do Copper Peptides work?
✅ Yes. It is one of the most promising agents for reversing follicle miniaturization.
Our take?
While Minoxidil forces growth, Copper Peptides improve the health and size of the follicle itself. It is the perfect partner for other growth stimulants.
However, there is a challenge. Standard GHK-Cu has trouble penetrating the skin layer on its own, which severely limits its effectiveness in regular serums.
That’s why KÁDESO uses advanced liposomal technology. We encapsulate the peptides to ensure they pass through the skin barrier and actually reach the follicle where they are needed.
💡 Pro tip: We included a potent, liposomally-delivered dose of Copper Peptides in the KÁDESO Grow Serum to ensure your follicles aren't just growing, but getting bigger.
➡️ Want to try it yourself? At least you’ll know you’re using something backed by real science.
